MAY/JUNE....in a nutshell!

May was a pretty low key month around out house as we prepared for the ending of school and seminary for the year! The biggest news of May was that after working for the school district for 15 years, I was layed off! But, I wasn't the only one, our entire union was layed off. We will have to see what the future brings and who will be hired back!

Also during May, Scott provided a GREAT activity for the YM in the stake that had achieved their Eagle Scout and/or their Duty to God award. They had a day that consisted of a wonderful breakfast, quad riding, paintball, and shotgun shooting, as well as a BBQ'd tri-tip with all the trimmings lunch! What a great day was had by the boys that were able to attend!

JUNE-
June started with Scott and I working hard in the front yard!

And, then the backyard.....

During June, we mad another trip to Utah where we had the "ALLRED FAMILY REUNION".

During this time we (Scott!) helped Michael put windows in his basement! A fun, busy week was had!

After returning from Utah, we were off to help with a 2 day 4 Stake youth conference! The first night, our stake was in charge of the food so we baked 200 potatoes, cut lettuce for caeser salad to feed 200, and helped with cooking the tri-tip, chicken, and garlic bread. It was incredible food and the kids loved it! It was also a great time just being there! What a great bunch of youth from the Ukiah, Santa Rosa, San Rafael and Napa Stakes! They were also treated to a great EFY speaker, who actually grew up in Santa Rosa and now lives in Rocklin! The Theme was: Courage....is it in you? The Spirit was strong with the youth and it was a great blessing to be there!
